Today we saw a blog post from Matt Mcgee where he has mentioned about a problem with Google maps service.
“Pre-edit: Google has contacted me to explain that this problem is NOT related to the new Service Areas feature that’s being tested.”
He has clearly mentioned that if you are a small business owner then you should stop using Google maps’ Local Business Center, a warning. His wife Cari McGee is a real estate agent who works in a wider region than just the city indicated in her business listing. He has tested this service by modifying her business listing. Within 1 hr time the business information was merged up with any other real estate agent business info.
As a social media user & blogger I spend around 13-16 hrs a day in front of my laptop. Now a days many people work on computer usually for long hours but its the demand of the profession. There are many health issues that arise while working for long hours like muscle and joint pain, dryness of eyes, injuries on upper limbs etc.
Another great Social media infographic/chart on Facebook Statistics for 2010, containing details like total users, global reach, mobile usage etc.
Facebook has become a NO1 websites in social networking but when it comes to business we feel that LinkedIn is a best place to start. “Business networking is the process of establishing a mutually beneficial relationship with other business people and potential clients and/or customers”. Here are some basic steps of business networking. As per Alexa ranking LinkedIn is listed in top 30 websites.
We recently heard that visits to Facebook increased by 185% in last week as compared to the same week in 2009 whereas visits to Google increased by 9%. Facebook is just doing amazing work in social media to achieve such high number of visits and beat Google! Surpassing Google in terms of number of visits is not easy for any company but Facebook has actually done it. Click here to see the list of top 500 companies.
I found this very interesting affiliate marketing infographic which looks very interesting. I know i emended this from different website but would like my blog readers to come & check this interesting graph. It is not easy for every one to chose targeted affiliate marketing model that works for your site. As a publisher you have to find out (CPM vs CPC vs CPA) which model is going to work for your site audience for highest return. As an Advertisers you need to find out which model will work for the type of product/site they are attempting to promote. Have a look at the graph below for clear explanation of all three payment and advertising models, and find which one suits you.
